Knocking out Junior Dos Santos, former champion in the first round at the UFC 211, Stipe Miocic came off victorious tocart home his second title defense.

With this feat he has achieved, a lot of spectators believe that Miocic has been able to inch himself a step closer to becoming one of the best heavyweights in the game.

Someone else believes otherwise – Francis Ngannou, number five ranked contender. Ngannou during the last Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour, gave his take on the performance of the Cleveland born fighter during the game held in Dallas.

“That was a good performance, but I was not impressed, I need more than that. I would say I’m more impressed with someone like [Cain] Velasquez. I think Velasquez is the best heavyweight that we have, and that’s why I want to fight him,” Ngannou said (via MMA Fighting).

After beginning his professional MMA career back in 2013, the 30 year old Ngannou currently holds a record of 10-1. All his victories were won through stoppage. He also remains an undefeated fighter in the UFC since late in 2015 when he joined the company.

In January last year, he had his most recent win over Andre Arlovski via first round TKO. Ngannou who now lives in Las Vegas so as to be able to train full time believes that with his current standing, the possibility of him getting a shot at the title would be quite inevitable.

The number five ranked contender believes that despite whatever his detractors might be saying, he is ready for all challenger and would probably come off victorious against anyone of them at the moment.

He also gave a hint of how he called out Velasquez but the latter declined due to injury.
